and comes from a family of driver trainers/examiners,
dating back to the 1970s.
We offer training in and around Scarborough, North
We are an independent driving school, not
associated to any of the big chains. This means we do
not trap you into a pay weekly/monthly franchise
scheme. When you qualify with us, you will be fully
qualified as an ADI and be free to make your own
choices. We can definitely help you with the beginning
of your new career, there are plenty of options
available to you.
Prices There are two main routes you can take to be a
driving instructor; with a trainee licence (pink
ticket) or without.
Once you have passed the the theory (part 1) and
practical test (part 2), you can apply for a trainee
licence, you must complete a minimum of 40 hours
training to qualify. The trainee licence allows you to
practice with real students before you go for your
teaching test (part 3).
You can choose which route to take during your course.
Overall price without Pink Ticket
This includes the course
fee, study material, resource pack and 51 hours of in
car training. £2,640
Overall price with Pink Ticket
This includes the course
fee, study material, resource pack and 62 hours of in
car training. £3,080
A £1,000 deposit is required for each of
the courses above, this includes the course fee, study material, resource
pack and your first 10 hours of in car training.
Potential Driving Instructor Assessment £70 One
and a half hours in car.
This cost is refundable if
you start one of the courses above. The assessment
s a great way of assessing the course and if it's
right for you. Also we'll check your driving
skills and make sure this is the correct career
path for you.
Hire of dual controlled vehicle
for use in the part 2 & 3 tests £5
For the part 2 you could use
your own vehicle. The price is for each hour
the car is in your possession.
Additional training with an
ORDIT registered trainer £50 one hour £90 two hours £120 three hours
Fees to become a Driving Instructor
(DVSA) These fees are payable directly to
the DVSA. These costs will be in
addition to your course. Its important
you understand all the costs so that you
